New Year | Better Me
New Year | Better Me
Everyone has been a victim of a failed new years resolution. In fact, it has been found that 80% off all new years resolutions fail by the end of February, yikes.
We believe that the reason for this is having unrealistic and difficult new years resolutions. The odds of you losing half of your body weight is very very unlikely. So is becoming a millionaire and giving up chocolate (Come on people, get real).
So since the overarching theme seems to be self-improvement, we have come up with some totally realistic and easy new years resolutions for you in 2019.
- Drink more water
So if your mom didn’t nag you enough when you were younger, we will be the ones to tell you that you need to drink more water. If you think drinking water is only to quench your thirst and help with digestion, you are wrong. Drinking water helps with weight-loss, boosts energy, helps you concentrate, gives you better skin and boosts immunity. And that’s just to name a few.
- Take good care of your hair
This one will take a bit of time and commitment, but the results will be amazing. Every woman wants hair like Rachel on season 3 from Friends. The bad news is that curling irons, straighteners, blow dryers, chemical treatments and dry shampoo are just some of the factors that will leave your hair looking more like Monica’s hair on the Friends episode “The one in Barbados”. Drink lots of vitamins and try your best to stay away from products that make your hair look great on the day, but will damage it in the long-run.
- Do some chemical peels
So you know the whole “Out with the old and in with the new” saying? Well, nothing supports that statement more than a good ol’ Lamelle chemical peel. A chemical peel does exactly that. It is a solution that harnesses your body’s natural processes of renewal, which can largely be summed up as “discard old skin cells to make space for new ones.” In other words, it causes the skin to peel so that the new skin can grow in its place.
- Get rid of unwanted hair
Nobody likes to be self-conscious in about unwanted hair. Every girl has had the dreaded moment of “Oh no, when was the last time I shaved” when lifting up their arms at a concert, agreeing to a spontaneous swim or leaving the house in a hurry wearing a mini-skirt. So in this new year, we want you to be extra confident. Laser Hair removal will give you peace of mind in all these situations.
The most common questions we get from women about Laser Hair Removal would be “Okay but does it hurt, because I hear that it hurts really bad” The answer: Yes it will hurt, if you don’t do it with Glo Laser and Beauty or at least someone with an award-winning laser system like ours. The treatment is virtually pain-free, so if you have ever been somewhere for similar treatment and experienced pain, you need to say “Bye Felicia” and hello to a better, more effective, pain-free laser hair removal treatment. Put that in your pipe and smoke it. Or no wait, don’t do that. That is the exact opposite of the point we are trying to make in number 5.
- Quit Smoking
This one is ranked one of the top 5 most common new years resolutions. Which tells us that the intense pleasure of taking a deep drag does not justify the yellow teeth, bad breath, the grey, dull skin (cigarettes actually reduces the oxygen in your skin making your skin age three times faster, gross) and worst of all; cancer and lung diseases.
“Yeah okay, but we are all gonna die someday” A very true statement, I must admit. And the truth is, nobody will ever convince you otherwise. It is simply a choice you need to make for yourself.
So these are our top 5 realistic new years resolutions for 2019. We hope by this time next year you will look back and know that you are not a “new” you, but a much better you.
