WHAT IS A MELINE CHEMICAL PEEL?
A MELINE peel targets hyper-pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, as well as acne and acne scarring. The MELINE process includes preparation and peel, followed by specific aftercare products to use at home designed to control pigmentation, decrease melanin production, promote skin cell renewal, improve sun damage, and promote an even skin tone.
MELINE® chemical peels provide controlled chemical dermabrasion, exfoliating the top layer of dead skin, resulting in a more even-toned and healthy glowing complexion. The process involves dissolving the bonds between cells in the top layer of your skin, promoting the regeneration of new cells (alleviating the epidermis of dead skin cells). and improving overall skin texture and appearance.
AtGlo Laser & Beauty, our skilled professionals carefully select a specific MELINE® peel tailored to your skin type and concerns. These peels are effective for addressing sun damage, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, melasma, uneven texture, and fine lines on the superficial layer of the skin.
By improving circulation and skin quality, MELINE® chemical peels contribute to a radiant and healthy glow, leaving you with a rejuvenated appearance that enhances your overall well-being.
Ideal candidates for MELINE® chemical peels are individuals seeking to improve their skin’s overall appearance and address various concerns such as pigmentation, uneven skin tone and texture, aging (fine lines), and acne scarring (dark spots). The treatment is suitable for a wide range of skin types and conditions, making it a versatile solution for many skincare needs.
Before undergoing a MELINE® chemical peel, it is essential to consult with a skincare professional to ensure that the treatment is appropriate for your specific needs. A thorough evaluation helps identify any potential contraindications and create a customized individual treatment plan.
Benefits:
MELINE® chemical peels offer various benefits for the skin. It can improve the appearance of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, fine lines, wrinkles, and uneven skin texture and tone. The treatment stimulates cell regeneration, which helps to resurface the skin and reveal a healthier, smoother complexion. Additionally, MELINE® chemical peels can improve the appearance of pigmentation issues and enlarged pores.
After the treatment, patients can expect to see an improvement in post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, fine lines, and wrinkles, as well as a smoother and more even skin texture and tone. It may take several treatments to achieve the desired results, and patients are encouraged to follow a specific aftercare regimen to ensure optimal outcomes. Ultimately, MELINE® chemical peels can help patients achieve a more youthful and radiant appearance.
Results:
Results from MELINE® chemical peels may vary depending on the individual’s skin type, concern, and the specific peel used. However, most patients begin to see improvements in their skin within a few days of treatment. Skin texture and tone may begin to improve, and fine lines may start to soften. Over time, as new cells are generated and the skin continues to heal, patients may see a reduction in pigmentation and acne scarring.
Even though results are visible after the first treatment, the number of MELINE® chemical peel treatments needed to achieve desired results can vary depending on the individual’s skin concerns and the severity of the issues being treated. After your consultation with the Skincare Specialist, you will be quoted according to the size of the area being treated and the number of sessions required to treat your concerns.
Recovery:
After a MELINE® chemical peel, patients can expect some redness, sunburned sensation, tightness, and mild peeling, dryness, and skin sensitivity for a few days. The recovery period for a MELINE® chemical peel is relatively short, with most patients able to return to their daily activities immediately after treatment.

What to do before the MELINE® chemical peel
- Avoid any strong at-home facial treatments and/or exfoliation treatments the week before your appointment
- Avoid sun exposure (including tanning) for five days before your treatment
- Know the skincare products you are using at home, and bring a list, as having these details will assist your Skincare Specialist to make suitable product recommendations.
- Advise your Skincare Specialist regarding any medications, medical conditions, and/or past skin conditions; even over-the-counter medications can affect your skin, so it is good for us to know what may be contributing to your concerns as well as how your skin reacts to certain products.
- Should you be preparing your skin for a big event and you have never had a skin care treatment before and therefore don’t know how your skin will respond, it is recommended that you schedule an appointment six weeks before your big event with a follow-up appointment closer to the event date. This way you have time to address any negative skin reactions and get the maximum results from your treatment(s).
Be prepared to discuss your skin concerns and goals. Your Skincare Specialist is a licensed expert who will provide you with a detailed plan to best achieve your specific goals
We advise against any aesthetic procedures (including Botulinum Toxin, Facial Fillers, and Threads) 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after any minimally invasive skin care treatment.
