Your therapist will do a skin analysis and recommend a suitable treatment for you. It may be microneedling, facial or a chemical peel. Or even a combination of the three. After your skin analysis, she will also let you know how often you will need to come for optimal microneedling results, what creams to use after microneedling as well as recommend the applicable after microneedling care.

What is the best sunscreen after microneedling?

It is not advised that you apply sunscreen for at least 24 hours after your microneedling treatment however, it is crucial that you stay out of the sun or wear a hat if necessary for about 3 days after your treatment. We recommend using Nimue Sun-C SPF 50 or Lamelle’s Helase sunscreen post treatment.

Can I wash my face after microneedling?

Please don’t wash your face for at least 8 hours after treatment. The ingredients are still active on your face, so for optimal results kindly refrain from washing. Washing the next day will be most beneficial.

What to do after microneedling?

Don’t panic, we get this question a lot. After 24 hours, use a gentle cleanser to cleanse the face for the following 72 hours and gently dry the treated skin. Always make sure that your hands are clean when touching the treated area. Don’t take any inflammatory medicines for at least 2 weeks post-treatment. It is recommended that makeup or sunscreen should not be applied for 24 hours after the procedure. Stop all serums and active ingredients for at least 3days.Do not apply any makeup with a makeup brush, especially if it is not clean. After the initial 24 hours, apply a broad-spectrum chemical-free UVA/UVB sunscreen with a minimum SPF 30 for two weeks such as Nimue Sun-C, Heliocare or Lamelle Helase to avoid sun damage.
