What is Microneedling?

Also know as collagen induction therapy, people always wonder how microneedling really works, so we are here to shed some light. During our treatment, a microneedling pen will be used with micro-fine needles to press into the layer of skin for rejuvenation. Following that, acoustic waves or mechanical pressure is emitted on the skin which creates a push and pull effect, exfoliating the skin by removing excess sebum and dead skin cells.

The vibration that is present during this microneedling treatment causes gaseous bubbles within the skin’s barrier to rapidly swell and collapse, which allows for more fluidity in the tissue in order to let topical ingredients and serums applied to penetrate the skin more deeply and effectively.

Recovery time is an average of three days while the skin might be sensitive initially. However, your sensitive skin sensation will subdue in the coming days.

Numerous clinical studies and extensive laboratory testing has proven the ability of microneedling to deliver active ingredients far beyond the skin barrier and has shown great improvement in the skin’s overall clarity, tone and texture following each microneedling treatment. With a multitude of benefits, the treatment helps address numerous skin concerns and helps reduce the appearance and signs of aging while stimulating collagen.

With use of new generation technology, therapists that are highly trained and along with using the best products, you can believe you are receiving the best treatment.

Amongst all areas to be treated we have seen some great results with microneedling for dark circles under eyes and many other areas. It can improve the look of acne scars, facial scars, scars and stretch marks. It improves fine lines and wrinkles and delivers a wonderful healthy glow to the skin! Microneedling can also stimulate hair growth in the hair line.

The procedure is minimally invasive, safe on every skin type. Numbing cream can also be applied for comfort, but we do recommend the treatment without this as results are better. Hand sanitizer and gloves are always used to ensure best hygiene practice, and needle is disposed of afterwards.
